Griffin Sonaty, MD, MPH, a second year Rheumatology fellow in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology, was recently awarded the 2025 Marshall J. Schiff MD Memorial Fellow Research Award from the Rheumatology Research Foundation. This award aims to support outstanding scholarship in the field of rheumatology research and to recognize and celebrate fellows presenting an abstract at ACR Convergence. Recipients of the award receive $1,500, plus complimentary registration for ACR Convergence and reimbursement of up to $1,000 for travel-related expenses to attend ACR Convergence.
Griffin will be attending ACR Convergence 2025 in Chicago later this year to present his accepted abstract, “Manganese-associated Single-nucleotide Polymorphisms are Associated with Radiographic Knee Osteoarthritis: The Johnston County Osteoarthritis Project.”
