Second Annual Southeast Symposium for MD-PhD Women in Science hosted at Duke - Group Photo of students from 6 universities
Second Annual Southeast Symposium for MD-PhD Women in Science

Hosted by Duke AMPWIS on May 16, 2015, the second symposium was a phenomenal day of career development and networking. With 27 students from 6 different MD-PhD programs (UNC, Duke, MUSC, UVA, VCU, Johns Hopkins), it was great to see both new and returning faces from last year’s symposium. Attendees learned how to build high valued relationships, a formula for success as a physician scientist and as a women in power, practiced their elevator pitches, presented their exciting research, and received a book on effective leadership. We are already excited for next year’s Symposium at MUSC on May 14, 2016!!!
