On Jun 21st, 2019 the UNC Department of Urology celebrated the graduations of the Resident Class of 2019 and Endourology Fellow Dr. Sophie Spencer. All of them will be greatly missed in Chapel Hill as they hand off their duties to the new 5th Year Chiefs.

Other Awards

In addition to celebrating the commencement, other departmental honors were bestowed to two significant figures. This year’s Resident of The Year Award was given to Dr. Mark Ehlers, Rising 3rd Year Resident, and the Urology Attending of the Year award was presented to Dr. Marc Bjurlin.
