Welcome to the Vaziri lab web page.  We seek to define mechanisms of cell cycle regulation and DNA repair.  We are particularly interested in understanding how dysregulation of cell growth and genome maintenance contributes to pathological conditions such as cancer.  We use diverse experimental approaches including biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, genetics and computational biology. Here you will find information on lab members and collaborators, descriptions of ongoing projects, and links to our publications.  We are affiliated with multiple Graduate Programs at UNC including Pathobiology & Translational Sciences, The Curriculum in Toxicology, The Genetics and Molecular Biology (GMB) Program and Biochemistry & Biophysics.
