Cyrus received his PhD in Biochemistry in 1992. He is a Professor in the Departments of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Biochemistry & Biophysics and a member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Cyrus serves as Associate Director of Graduate Studies for the Graduate program in Pathobiology and Translational Sciences, Director of Admissions for the Curriculum in Toxicology and is a member of the Genetics and Molecular Biology (GMB) Graduate Program.
