Research

At any given time, about 20 research studies are being conducted at UNC Project-Malawi, either at Tidziwe Centre/Kamuzu Central Hospital, or one of several other activity sites in the area. While UNC Project initially began by focusing on HIV and STD research, its research portfolio has expanded greatly in recent years to include other infectious diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis, nutrition, water, cancer, family planning, surgery and trauma.
