UNC Anesthesiology is pleased to announce Associate Professor of Anesthesiology Bridget Marroquin, MD, as our newest Assistant Residency Program Director (APD), effective September 1st, 2025. Dr. Marroquin replaces Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology Daniel Rosenkrans, MD, who has served in this role over the past two years.

Dr. Marroquin brings a wealth of experience in graduate medical education to this role. She previously served as an APD at both the University of Rochester and the University of Vermont, where she also held the role of Vice Chair of Education. She is a core faculty member for the Society for Education in Anesthesia Teaching Workshop and has served as a USMLE question writer for the past nine years. In addition, she earned a Master’s in Health Professions Education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
