The Linnstaedt Lab is a proud collaborator on the Disentangle project, a study focused on identifying differences in traumatic brain injury and neuropsychiatric outcomes of trauma exposure.  Both Dr. McKibben and Erica Branham presented their recent data related to this ongoing study.

Linnstaedt Lab members Brittanie Winfield, Meghna Iyer, Taanvii Verma, Erica Branham, Jacqueline Mickelson, Kennedy Bell, Miranda Layne, & Alice Woolard and each presented posters showcasing their research.  

BCB graduate student Brittanie Winfield was selected to present a short talk at the 2nd Annual Duke Maixner Pain Research Symposium. In addition, she was awarded a Clinical/Translational Science Poster Presentation Award in recognition of her impactful research advancing the understanding and treatment of pain.  

Members of The Linnstaedt Lab are proud collaborators of The Duke Anesthesiology Department’s Nackley Lab. Take this as proof that researchers at UNC and Duke can be friends despite UNC having a better basketball team.😉    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39430682/

Dr. Linnstaedt enjoyed meeting with other pain scientists and SLE researchers to discuss the biology of pain and discuss future avenues of discovery that better elucidate mechanisms of chronic pain in SLE sufferers. This conference was well attended by pain scientists, experts in autoimmunity, neuroscientists, and patients with SLE.
