Congratulations to Brittanie Winfield from our lab who was selected to present a short talk at the 2nd annual Duke Maixner Pain Research Symposium

BCB graduate student Brittanie Winfield was selected to present a short talk at the 2nd Annual Duke Maixner Pain Research Symposium. In addition, she was awarded a Clinical/Translational Science Poster Presentation Award in recognition of her impactful research advancing the understanding and treatment of pain.  

The Linnstaedt Lab co-authors a manuscript with The Nackley Lab.

Linnstaedt Lab graduate students Brittanie Winfield (BCB), Alice Woolard (BCB) and Erica Branham (GMB) attended the 2024 Department of Genetics Scientific Retreat in Myrtle Beach where they each presented posters of their research. 

Dr. Linnstaedt attends and presents at the Lupus 21st Century 2024: Pain in SLE conference

Dr. Linnstaedt enjoyed meeting with other pain scientists and SLE researchers to discuss the biology of pain and discuss future avenues of discovery that better elucidate mechanisms of chronic pain in SLE sufferers. This conference was well attended by pain scientists, experts in autoimmunity, neuroscientists, and patients with SLE.

Dr. Linnstaedt is honored to have been named a Rita Allen scholar in 2020 and at this year’s annual meeting, enjoyed presenting and hearing about the incredible research from other Rita Allen scholars. The meeting this year was held in Princeton NJ.
