Each year, our department can support one fully-funded resident to pursue an Executive Course through UNC’s Gillings School of Public Health. The course options include the Master of Healthcare Administration or the Master of Public Health. These programs are a 2-year endeavor; residents will start the program during their CA-3 year with dedicated time to complete their degree coursework and will stay on as a “Master’s Fellow” serving as part-time attending with dedicated 40% non-clinical time to complete their coursework.

The UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health is ranked amongst the top public health schools in the nation by the US News and World Report, placing 2nd among all public health schools.

Recent graduates of this program include: Dr. Vishal Dhanda (MHA Class of 2018), Dr. Lindsey Gouker (MHA Class of 2020), and Dr. Elise Clemens (MHA Class of 2025).
