52nd Annual Student Research Day – Faculty Judges Needed

Save the date for UNC School of Medicine’s 52nd annual Student Research Day, which will take place on Monday, October 14th, 2019. The symposium-style event highlights the research achievements of UNC medical students, giving them the opportunity to present their work and discuss it with faculty and each other. Submissions include research projects done in basic science, clinical science, and public health. The organizers are looking for faculty interested in serving as a judge for scientific presentations who can provide critical, formative feedback to students, which will help them further develop their scientific thinking and presentation skills.

This year’s Landes Merrimon Lecturer is Dr. Gregory Berns, Distinguished Professor of Neuroeconomics & Director Center for Neuropolicy at Emory University. Dr. Berns will start off this year’s Student Research Day with a lecture at 12:00PM in the Old Clinic Auditorium. All are welcome to attend this lecture.
