We study animal cell shape during division and oogenesis, subjects relevant to fertility, development, and the evasion of diseases including cancer. To define the molecular and mechanical bases for these essential events, we combine cell and developmental biology, mathematical modeling, advanced statistics, genetics, and biochemistry.
