This cohort-based, 10-month, mid-career leadership development program is designed to expand the ability of participants to lead within the field of academic medicine by broadening their understanding of and skills for impact at the Individual, Departmental, School of Medicine, University, and national levels. This will be accomplished through the introduction of leadership content, group activities and skill practice, and interaction with leaders at each of the levels listed above.

Program Objectives include:

  1. Defining new, individual goals for current and future career phases.
  2. Building relationships with colleagues across the School of Medicine.
  3. Communicating more effectively; with greater curiosity, clarity, and compassion.
  4. Collaborating outside of participants’ individual scope/specialty/subspecialty.
  5. Leading with an awareness of the various perspectives within a system.
