Carrie Vey was named the Family Medicine Residency Program Director at Halifax Health, Daytona Beach, FL in January 2017.

Dr. Vey is a 2001 graduate of Wake Forest University where she earned a BS in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2006, where she became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society.

During her residency, she served as Chief Resident and received the Halifax Health Nurse’s Award for the Caring Physician and the AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Education. Her teaching interests include women’s health, pediatrics, and inpatient medicine. She is also a clinical assistant professor for the Florida State University College of Medicine Daytona Beach Campus.
