On Thursday, March 6th and Friday, March 7th, the Age-Based Genomic Screening team attended the 50th annual Unity Conference, which hosted over 5,000 attendees. The event was hosted by the United Tribes of NC and will its mission was to continue to promote educational, economic, religious, charitable, and cultural activities for American Indian people. While tabling, we enjoyed distributing general genetics educational resources, gathering interest for our caregiver interviews, and getting to connect with tribal leaders, new people, and organizations. We also reported back on results from surveys conducted during the 2024 Unity Conference (see poster below).
We look forward to attending the Unity Conference again next year!
