On Saturday, March 15th, the Age-Based Genomic Screening team attended the Black Family Wellness Expo. The Black Family Wellness Expo, hosted by Southeast Raleigh YMCA; and the Raleigh (NC), Durham (NC) and Triangle Park (NC) Chapters of The Links, Incorporated, included screenings for blood pressure, cancer, cholesterol. hearing & speech, mental health, and heart health as well as fitness classes, interview/career/job training and employment opportunities for qualified candidates, healthy snacks, giveaways, and more! ABGS enjoyed distributing general genetics educational resources, like our comics, and gathering insight and interest on these materials and our study.
