Dr. Arti Pandya is head of the UNC Division of Genetics and Metabolism within the Department of Pediatrics. She consults with our team in the selection and interpretation of genetic tests which can help determine which genes might be linked to disease in certain individuals. Determining if a certain genetic factor is the cause of your child’s disease can be the first, best step in the selection of the most appropriate and effective therapies.
