Fernando Pardo Manuel de Villena, Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Genetics, was recently interviewed by the Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the National Toxicology Program, Dr. Rick Woychik.
Dr. Pardo Manuel de Villena discussed his efforts over the last two decades to incorporate more genetic diversity into his study designs that utilize mouse models in order to increase their relevance and translation to the human population. He also discussed his current NIEHS-funded study to investigate the impact of genetic variability on arsenic exposure and his early intellectual influences that led to his career as a geneticist.
