
Dr. Rachel Lynch has been promoted to Associate Professor, effective December 1, 2025.
Lynch earned a BS in Biology with Highest Honors from Cedarville University in December 2003, followed by a PhD in the Graduate Program in Genome Science & Technology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in May 2010. Dr. Lynch was a postdoctoral trainee with Dr. David Threadgill at North Carolina State University from 2010 to 2013 and at Texas A&M University from 2014 to 2016. During this period, she was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship. Additionally, she earned an Executive Certificate in Business Essentials from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University in 2018. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Lynch held multiple roles at Texas A&M University. Since 2019, she has been an Assistant Professor and Director of the Systems Genetics Core Facility in the Department of Genetics.
