Dr. Paola Giusti Rodriguez (Assistant Professor, Department of Genetics) has been appointed as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Florida College of Medicine, effective August 2021.

Department of Genetics faculty, postdocs, students and collaborators published seventeen papers during May 30 – June 12, 2021.

Dr. Ichiro Misumi (Assistant Professor, Department of Genetics) has been awarded a pilot grant from the UNC Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease (CGIBD).

Dr. Yun Li (Professor, Department of Genetics) was awarded Boost funding from the UNC SOM Dean’s Office for her project “Genetics of mammalian chromatin interactome”.

Dr. Lisa Tarantino (Associate Professor, Department of Genetics) was awarded Bridge funding from the UNC SOM Dean’s Office for her project in the P50 grant “Center for Systems Neurogenetics of Addiction”.

Dr. Karen Mohlke (Professor, Department of Genetics) has been reappointed for an additional five years as an Oliver Smithies Investigator.
