UNC’s WinSPIRE organization was awarded the 2025 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Student STEM Enrichment Program grant.
The funds will help better support more students, including scholarships for rural/underrepresented students, and mentors who host students in their labs for 3 years. The WinSPIRE Organization is a registered student organization at UNC-Chapel Hill. They are affiliated with the Office of Graduate Education in the UNC-CH School of Medicine and has been supported by UNC Department of Genetics in their efforts.
