Widman said there is often a gap in communication between practitioners and patients when it comes to issues of health literacy. During the presentation, Widman raised several questions, including what responsibility is in the hands of the provider when conveying critical health information and how to encourage patients to retain health information. Difference Matters is made possible thanks to DAHS leadership and the Health Sciences Library at UNC-Chapel Hill.
