The Department of Health Sciences has announced two of its programs received top national rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The Division of Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling was ranked #13 in the publication’s 2023 rankings of Rehabilitation Counseling programs in America, and the Division of Physician Assistant Studies was ranked #50 in the Physician Assistant programs category.

The Division of Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling’s latest ranking is now its second consecutive top-15 ranking by U.S. News & World Report. This is the first year of ranking eligibility for the Division of Physician Assistant Studies.

With this year’s rankings announcement, five of the seven divisions within the Department of Health Sciences are home to nationally recognized programs, including:

  • Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (#13)
  • Occupational Therapy (#10)
  • Physical Therapy (#9)
  • Physician Assistant Studies (#50)
  • Audiology (#5)
  • Speech-Language Pathology (#8)

The Department of Health Sciences celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding in 2022 and welcomes its 50th group of new students in fall 2023.
