The Department of Health Sciences is pleased to announce 2026 U.S. News & World Report program rankings across multiple divisions.

Four programs eligible received top 10 placements on the national list, and one program improved position from last year’s rankings.

  • #2 – Doctor of Audiology
  • #5 – Occupational Therapy
  • #7 – Rehabilitation Counseling
  • #10 – Physical Therapy

Ingersoll, Senior Associate Dean of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. “These rankings affirm our mission to prepare leaders who advance health, independence, and quality of life across communities, while highlighting the collaborative, evidence‑based approach that defines the UNC Department of Health Sciences.”

The Department of Health Sciences, housed within UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine, is comprised of eight divisions that house 14 graduate and undergraduate programs, plus additional centers and units spanning a range of health sciences professions.
