About Sara:

A 2017 graduate of the OS/OT division, Sara is a proud product of public education and is known for her work in school-based practice, as well as clinical instruction. With a background in education, Sara has been a clinical educator for students from four different OT/OTA programs, and feels the biggest compliment of being a practitioner is having her fieldwork students become coworkers and colleagues. Her role in fieldwork and admissions support focuses on the division’s Novant initiative to increase the presence of practitioners in the southeastern part of the state. As a practitioner, Sara has experience in acute care (PRN), as well as extensive experience working in school-based practice, where she served on the preschool assessment team and in multiple elementary, middle and high schools. Sara hopes to share her enthusiasm for fieldwork education with current (& future!) clinical educators throughout the state. When she is not in the office, Sara finds inspiration listening to music, watching House Hunters International episodes and urban hiking with her family.
