Teaching Assistants

Our medical and dental teaching assistants are a vital aspect of our MED program each summer. The TA team attends lecture, leads labs, and assists with small group and case study sessions, along with leading office hours and test prep prior to exams.

TA positions include:

  • Subject specialists (biochemistry, dental theory, gross anatomy, histology, microbiology, and physiology)
  • Tutoring

Upcoming TA Interest Meetings

Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at 12:00pm

Monday, December 15th, 2025 at 12:30pm

We will discuss what the position entails, share experiences from former TAs, and answer any questions potential applicants may have.

Applications & information about interest meetings will be emailed to UNC SOM and Adams School of Dentistry students.

TA positions are available to first-year medical and dental students.

Interviews

Applications will be reviewed at the end of January through the beginning of February, and applicants will be notified about scheduling interviews. Instructions for scheduling interviews will be included in emails notifying students about the status of their application.
