Medicine Grand Rounds, Ria Dancel “POCUS: Power and Pitfalls”

Ria Dancel specializes in the care of hospitalized adults and children, bedside ultrasound at the point of care, ultrasound guided procedures, resident education. Dr. Dancel’s area of clinical interest and quality improvement research focuses on point of care ultrasound (POCUS) as a diagnostic tool and an instrument to increase patient safety during invasive bedside procedures.

Dr. Dancel is Director of the Medicine Procedure Service, and Associate Chief of Education and Faculty Development in the Division of Hospital Medicine. She is an associate professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
