CGIBD Seminar – “Single-cell and High-throughput genomics core services at UNC.” with Scott T. Magness, Ph.D.

Dr. Magness' research program focuses on the genetic regulation of intestinal stem cell maintenance and differentiation and development of novel approaches to single-cell biology. He is the founder and director of Center for GI Biology and Disease's (CGIBD) Advanced Analytics Core that offers single-cell and high-throughput genomics services. His talk will focus on the state of single cell genomics platforms and the services offered by the AA Core.

Dr. Goyal has a strong foundation in academic gastroenterology, pancreato-biliary endoscopy, therapeutic bariatric endoscopy, endocrinology, clinical study design, and understanding the regulatory processes involved in development and approval of investigational drugs and devices. His long-term interest is to develop a comprehensive translational endoscopic bariatric research program with the goal of conducting multidisciplinary clinical and translational investigations ino the physiology of obesity and diabetes
