Luther Bartelt, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the division of infectious diseases, was interviewed by CBS17 for a news story about the effectiveness of using convalescent plasma for COVID-19.
“To be able to answer the question fully, we need randomized control trials,” said Bartelt who is running a clinical trial at UNC looking at dose-response. He also said the hospital has treated about 160 patients with convalescent plasma so far.
