The Japan Primary Care Association recently selected Dr. Christine Kistler as the recipient of the Best Investigator Award in the International Session (Oral) from their 14th Annual Conference. The official decision was announced at the JPCA board meeting on May 28. Dr. Kistler will be honored at the 2023 award ceremony on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
Dr. Kistler is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine. She is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with several certifications (Geriatrics, Hospice, Palliative Medicine). Dr. Kistler’s area of interest is decision-making related to the care of older adults. Her research has focused primarily on preventive services such as cancer screening and tobacco cessation. She also focuses on the nursing home environment, including infection control and medical management.
