Dr. John A. Batsis

Recently, Dr. John Batsis was a keynote speaker at the Artificial Intelligence Technology Center Consensus Guidelines Workshop for Older Adults in Washington, DC. At the workshop, he presented a talk entitled, “Implementation, Education, and Sustainability of Artificial Intelligence for Older Adults.”

In his clinician-researcher role, Dr. Batsis applies scientific principles of inquiry to enhance the clinical care of an older adult population. Specifically, he uses novel technologies like telemedicine, remote monitoring, and Internet-of-Things devices to help older adults improve their well-being. Additionally, Dr. Batsis works collaboratively with trans-disciplinary scientists like engineers and computer scientists, to improve the health and well-being of older adults.
