Malinda Williams, associate chief of administration in the UNC Division of General Medicine and Epidemiology, will retire at the end of July. Malinda has been at UNC for 20 years and has made tremendous contributions during this time.

“It’s hard to imagine our division without her,” Dr. Shana Ratner, interim division chief said. “She has brightened our All Hands with her smile and positivity. She prioritizes celebrating professional awards, introducing new employees to the division, and highlighting personal achievements of teammates.”

Malinda is known for working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure sure the many administrative details of the division are completed. She has been deeply involved in management, quality improvement, and mentorship. Malinda’s impact extends through the many careers she has helped shape over the years. Her integrity and dedication will be missed.
