Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

  • Carla M. P. Ribeiro, PhD, was awarded a $250,000 grant from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to study novel targets for CF airway mucus production.

Division of General Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology

Division of Geriatric Medicine

  • Christine Kistler, MD, MASc will test feasibility of pharmacogenomics to reduce medication adverse events. Dr. Kistler received one of three pilot awards awarded by the UNC Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care (PPMH) and the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute; Dr. Kelli Allen also received a pilot award described below. Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology

  • Kelli Allen, PhD will lead the study, “Precision Medicine to Inform Rehabilitation and Exercise Therapies for Knee Osteoarthritis,” a pilot grant awarded to generate evidence of precision medicine approach. Learn more.
