
Robert H. Lee, PhD, a member of the UNC Blood Research Center and assistant professor in the department of biochemistry and biophysics, has received the American Heart Association’s Kenneth M. Brinkhous Early Career Investigator Award for “Evaluating the Impact of Thrombocytopenia and Platelet Transfusion on Bleeding and Thrombosis in the Setting of Anti-Platelet Therapy.” The study informs about DAPT safety in thrombocytopenia and best use of platelet transfusion for bleeding reversal.
