Dr. Milowsky is a medical oncologist and clinical and translational researcher. His clinical interest is in the treatment of patients with genitourinary cancers, including bladder cancer, testicular cancer, kidney cancer, and prostate cancer. He is the Section Chief of the Genitourinary Oncology Service, and Co-Director of the Urologic Oncology Program.

Dr. Milowsky joined UNC to lead the Genitourinary Oncology Research Program with a focus on translational science and clinical trials for patients with urologic cancers. His research focuses on the development of novel therapies for patients with urologic malignancies. He has a particular interest in the design of clinical trials that utilize novel immunotherapies as well as those that use an integrated genomics approach to characterize genitourinary cancers for genetic alterations that may represent targets for novel agents.

I am a medical oncologist who treats patients with bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, testicular cancer and other rare genitourinary cancers. I have focused my career on patient care and research with the goal to provide the best possible care to every patient including new and exciting treatments through clinical trials and research. I work closely with my outstanding colleagues from Urology, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, Radiology and many other disciplines to provide a multi-disciplinary comprehensive treatment plan for my patients. At UNC, we live by our mission to provide the best cancer care to the people of North Carolina. Having worked at other institutions prior to joining UNC over 10 years ago, I can assure you that we deliver on that mission every day.
