About
Dr. Patel is a thoracic and head/neck medical oncologist with a particular interest in clinical and translational research in immune and targeted therapy. Her ultimate goals are to develop novel treatment approaches for patients and truly personalize their cancer treatment by understanding the underlying biology of the disease. Her research involves both laboratory work in collaboration with investigators in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and development of clinical trials. She is a member of the UNC Molecular Tumor Board, ASCO TAPUR Molecular Tumor Board, ALLIANCE Immuno-Oncology Committee, and NCI Head and Neck Steering Committee – Rare Tumors Task Force.
