I am a proud graduate of the UNC Allergy/Immunology Fellowship program. When considering fellowship programs, because of my background in internal medicine, I actively sought a program that would provide strong, balanced pediatric training, and UNC fit the bill perfectly. With 50/50 focus on Adult and Pediatric A/I, UNC’s program ensured I would be comfortable practicing A/I across the spectrum of ages. Anyone interested in pursing a research career (or in simply exploring this as a possibility as was my case) will find that the breadth of experience and diverse clinical and research interests of UNC faculty supports the varied career path interests of trainees – providing solid mentoring for clinician researchers and comprehensive clinical training for those who will focus primarily on patient care in the future. Moreover, as a Pennsylvania native, I found North Carolina to be a fantastic place to live! It is as diverse geographically as it is culturally. Whatever your interest, North Carolina provides it – from beaches/boating to skiing, to fine dining, to theater and sports, just to name a few. I couldn’t have been more happy with my time spent at UNC!”
