My decision to stay at UNC for Allergy and Immunology fellowship training was an easy choice after my experiences with the faculty and staff as both a medical student and pediatric resident. Not only does UNC provide excellent clinical training with ample opportunities for research, but most importantly, the faculty members create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that allows fellows to develop autonomy and grow as clinicians/researchers preparing them for the next steps in their career. After two years, I left fellowship ready and excited for a career in academic medicine knowing that this would not have been possible without the mentorship and education I received at UNC.

Beyond the clinical training, I grew up in North Carolina and fell in love with Chapel Hill. It is a small, picturesque college town that is surrounded by Durham and Raleigh with delicious eats and outdoor activities for the whole family. It truly has something for everyone!
