Comparative Effectiveness of two aspirin doses for prevention of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP): ASPIRIN Study

The Aspirin Study is exploring the benefits of higher aspirin doses for at-risk pregnant individuals and their babies to help prevent high blood pressure problems during pregnancy. See the study website here.

Aspirin:

  • Safe to use in pregnancy
  • Recommended by OB providers for pregnant individuals at-risk for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (high blood pressure conditions such as preeclampsia and gestational hypertension)

This study is specifically comparing doses of 81mg to 162mg of Aspirin to learn more about potential benefits of higher dosage and the experiences of those taking Aspirin throughout their pregnancy.

You may be right for this study if:

  • You are pregnant with one or two babies
  • You are less than 17 weeks pregnant
  • You have potential risk factors for hypertensive disorders or your provider has recommended daily Aspirin intake during your pregnancy

This study is not right for you if:

  • Your provider has advised you not to take Aspirin
  • You are having triplets or more than two babies

If you are not sure if you qualify please contact us so we can help guide you.

*This study will be recruiting through 2028 and participants will be compensated for their time*
