Congratulations to Elizabeth Doherty, a graduate student and IVB trainee in the Polacheck Lab, for recently receiving an F31 individual fellowship award from NIH’s NHLBI.
The fellowship provides stipend support to develop cell and tissue biomechanical methods to better understand and treat vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Elizabeth’s project is titled, “Defining the role of extracellular matrix mechanics in vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome”.
