  • Is custom media available for purchase?

Yes. Custom media will be charged at the same price as the original media. Please inquire if we can perform this request.

  • Do you provide training sessions?

Yes. There are several one to three-day training sessions held each year. For best practice please inquire via email for the next available session. Topics include all cell culture protocols that involve general cell maintenance including isolating human airway epithelial cells, counting, seeding, and freezing cells.   • What is a chartfield string entry? Who do I contact with chartfield string entry questions?

  • What is the quality assurance/quality control of the cells being purchased?

Our rigor and reproducibility page best describes the details of our scientific process. However, a basic summary of our QC protocols includes a mycobacterial analysis of media, an Ussing which tests the resistance of the cells, histology images studied, and a DNA and RNA protein analysis.

  • How should we measure CO2 in our incubators?

It is best to measure CO2 levels with fyrite. Here is an instructional video on how to check fyrite:
