The Third Annual Clarke-Pearson Lectureship is set for October 16, 2024, from 7 AM to 8 AM EST, and will be held virtually via Zoom. After last year’s success with over 200 attendees from across the country, this year’s event will feature Dr. Amanda Nickles Fader, a Professor of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Fader will present her lecture “Rare but Impactful: Cultivating a Career in Uncommon Cancers.”

Dr. Amanda Nickles Fader is a Professor in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. She is the former fellowship director and division director of the Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service and currently is Vice Chair of Gynecologic Surgical Operations and the Director of the Center for Rare Gynecologic Cancers. Additionally, she serves as the 2024-2025 President of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

The Clarke-Pearson Lectureship honors Dr. Daniel Clarke-Pearson, who joined the UNC School of Medicine in 2005 and served as chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2005 to 2019. His leadership greatly advanced the department’s contributions to women’s health.
