Caring for women at every stage of their lives…

Kristin Tully, PhD, research associate professor in the Division of Maternal–Fetal Medicine, mentored four UNC undergraduate students—Simran Malik, Zehra Gundogdu, Ananya Pragaturu and Leela Newton—on research focused on quality maternal health care. Each student presented original, student‑led research at the 27th Annual Celebration of Undergraduate Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on April 22, 2026.

“It’s an honor and joy to mentor junior scholars, particularly around such meaningful research,” Tully said.
