My clinical work focuses on gastrointestinal, head and neck, and thoracic pathology. My academic interests include pediatric and adult gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreaticobiliary disorders; inflammatory bowel disease (etiology, predictive and prognostic markers, individualized therapy), global health (Laboratory and diagnostic services capacity development in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC); Improving outcomes of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreaticobiliary malignancies through futhering understanding of regional tumor biology in LMIC), and medical education and mentorship.
