I am a health services researcher with expertise in patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures and implementation science, and serve as principal investigator and co-investigator on grants and awards. I serve as a faculty member in the NC Tracs Implementation Science Methods Unit to support the development and integration of implementation science frameworks and methods in research conducted at UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC Health. I also teach two graduate courses (one per year) in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health: 1) PROs and application in healthcare delivery and research (course code: HPM 794); and 2) Implementation science in health (course code: HPM 767).

My work uses mixed methods in health care systems, such as EHR data extraction, stakeholder interviews with patients and clinicians, and developing and evaluating the psychometric characteristics of PROMs in healthcare settings. For example, I conducted foundational work developing implementation science metrics to evaluate initiatives implementing patient-reported outcome measures (PROs) in routine care settings (Stover et al., QOLR 2021).
