I am a board-certified radiologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with sub-specialty fellowship training in breast imaging. My primary interest is in breast imaging radiogenomics and developing imaging technology to increase the sensitivity and specificity of detecting breast cancer. My research projects involve artificial intelligence, digital breast tomosynthesis, magnetic resonance imaging, automated whole breast ultrasound, viscoelastic response (VisR)-derived mechanical anisotropy of the breast, acoustic angiography of the breast, dedicated breast CT, and developing dedicated photoacoustic imaging of the breasts. I have many research collaborations, including several grant-funded studies. I have the knowledge, leadership skills, experience and enthusiasm to be an effective leader and collaborator on any study. As PI or Co-Investigator on several university and R01 funded grants, I am mindful of the importance of communication among project members and designing a feasible research protocol, timeline, and budget. I am committed to working on research projects even given my clinical duties.
