The Ideraabdullah lab uses a combination of molecular biology and omics approaches to study how gene-environment interactions in the fetal/developmental environment modulate the epigenome to program the trajectory of health & disease. We focus on reproductive health and liver metabolic health outcomes and use a combination of mouse models and human biospecimens. Our work supports the key tenets of DOHaD while highlighting the importance of considering the role of early life exposures in Precision Medicine.
