My research explores how experiences early in life, even before and shortly after birth, can shape kidney and heart health as children grow. I focus on understanding which infants and children are at higher risk for kidney problems and how we can identify that risk earlier. My long-term goal is to use data and precision medicine tools to create better ways for doctors to screen and monitor children who may be at risk for kidney disease, so problems can be caught and addressed sooner.
If students and trainees want to get involved, they can work with me on collecting and analyzing clinical and population data, learning how health data are used to answer meaningful questions and improve care for children.
