I am Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Deputy Director of the Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative (EDGI). My research focuses broadly on genetic and environmental factors of eating disorders and, over the last 10 years, expanded to include pediatric obesity. My current funding spans these content areas and involves both large-scale epidemiologic (R01MH120170, Bulik; R01MH119084, Bulik/Butner), and community-based (R01HD095910, Bean; R01HD098732, Bean; R34MH113681, Bulik/Baucom) research projects. My roles on these projects are diverse and include data management, analyses, and dissemination. Analytically, my experience includes regression models, network analysis, and structural equation modeling. I am currently expanding my research to include suicidality.
