I work at the confluence of acute neurological injury, clinical informatics and clinical trials. My research looks at utilizing informatics processes and tools to make clinical trials in patients with acute neurological conditions more effective and efficient. I have most recently led the development of open-source cloud computing architectures for clinical trial enrollment, utilized machine learning algorithms to identify patients eligible for clinical trials based on neuroimaging biomarkers and am actively involved in developing enhanced data integration and signal processing capabilities in the ICU to facilitate the translation of novel tools to the ICU population.
