I want to focus on research of upcoming modalities like Lung MRI and Functional Imaging. I have a strong background in Cardiothoracic Imaging research in which I have excelled myself as an independent investigator in CT Coronary angiography. My future goals is to excel in the contribution of research in the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiology and its translation in to clinical practice which is critical for driving health care in United States of America.

As a member of the UNC Faculty physicians I can perform the roles of a Cardiothoracic Radiologist, Clinical educator and researcher which have traditionally been the central pillars of the discipline of medicine. The synergy I can create by combining these roles adds value to all three, facilitating high-quality teaching, clinically relevant research and evidence-based practice. Teaching and Research has always remained my passion till my school days and it has been progressively increasing during my whole medical career.

I always foresee myself as an academic radiologist who is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and technologists. I enjoy addressing the future masterminds of medicine by taking regular lectures, helping them in grant preparation, manuscript preparation and data analysis which are frequently overlooked, yet critical for them to succeed as an independent Clinician scientist.
